July 1 — At 4:34 p.m. on July 1, Linda Drane Burdick announced to the court that prosecutors had completed their rebuttal case in State of Florida vs. Casey Anthony. Read more »

July 3 — Closing arguments begin. The defense team follows a short presentation by Assistant State's Attorney Jeff Ashton. Read more »

July 4 — The state presents a lengthy rebuttal to the defense team's closing arguments. Later, Judge Perry gives the jury instructions and deliberations begin. Read more »

July 5 — After 10 hours and 40 minutes of deliberations, the jury finds Casey Anthony not guilty of first degree murder. Read more »

July 7 — Casey Anthony was sentenced to the maximum amount of time for each of the four misdemeanor counts this morning by Judge Belvin Perry. Anthony was ordered to pay $4,000 as part of her sentence. Having spent nearly three years behind bars, Casey Anthony's release date is set for July 17. Read more »
