March 2 — A motion hearing in the Casey Anthony case begins in an Orlando, Fla., courtroom in front of Judge Belvin Perry. The first to take the stand are Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony. Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, questions both about their daughter's dealings with detectives after Cindy Anthony called 911 and reported her granddaughter missing.

Orange County Sheriff's Detective Yuri Melich is also called to testify. Baez asks Melich why he had not read Anthony her Miranda rights prior to the start of the investigation into the case. Melich testified he did not do so at that point because she was not considered a suspect.

"She was the mother of a missing child. She wasn't being interrogated as a suspect of a crime," Melich said.

March 3 — Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony, and her brother, Lee Anthony, testify before Judge Belvin Perry about their involvement in the search for Caylee. The state contends they had conducted an independent investigation, whereas the defense is saying they were working as agents of the state.

March 4 — Testimony in the motion hearings continue today and are centered on two pieces of evidence that Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, does not want show to a jury: letters allegedly exchanged between Anthony and a pen pal, as well as evidence of chloroform that was allegedly found in Anthony's car, Orlando's News 13 reported.

April 22 — Judge rules that stains found in Casey Anthony's trunk will be allowed to be presented as evidence at trial.

April 25 — Casey Anthony team request that partying photos excluded from trial. They allegedly show her dancing during the time of Caylee's disappearance.

April 27 — Judge Allows Chloroform Test evidence to be presented at trial, rejecting a motion by Casey Anthony. The prosecution claims tests revealed significant amounts of chloroform in the trunk of Casey's car.
