Bobby BeausoleilAssociate of the "Manson Family," convicted of killing another Manson associate named Gary Hinman. Beausoleil, Susan Atkins and Mary Brunner allegedly visited and threatened Hinman at his home because Manson believed Hinman had inherited a large sum of money (he did not). The group purportedly held Hinman captive until Manson came to the house and violently assaulted Hinman. In the end, Beausoleil was found guilty of stabbing Hinman to death. At age 22, Beausoleil was sentenced to death – a sentence that was later commuted to life in prison. Since his imprisonment in 1970, he has had repeated unsuccessful parole hearings. |
