Krenwinkel became an avid follower of Manson and was an active participant in the Tate-LaBianca murders that took place in 1969. During the murder trial after her capture, Krenwinkel stated that she felt "nothing" during the brutal killings. Krenwinkel received the death penalty – later commuted to life in prison – and has been denied parole 11 times. When asked who she had harmed the most in her life in a 2004 parole hearing, Krenwinkel answered, "Myself." |
