Frykowski was a Polish writer and actor who met coffee heiress Abigail Folger in New York City in January 1968. The two became close as Folger taught Frykowski English (both spoke French), and ultimately moved to California together where Frykowski introduced Folger to his friends Polanski and Tate. On the night of the murders, Frykowski tried to escape the house but was overcome on the lawn and stabbed a total of 51 times. Frykowski was cremated in Los Angeles, Calif. |
