Kathryn Dockweiller disappeared without a trace from her home in the Manzano Mountains near Albuquerque. There were no signs of forced entry and Kathryn's car was still in the driveway. Days later, her bound, lifeless body is found just a few miles away, buried in a shallow grave. At first, police target her husband but his alibi is air tight and the case goes cold

When Robert Dorotik was found dead off the side of the road, Investigators wondered if the athletic 55 year old engineer might have met his end in a jogging accident. But as soon as they got a closer look at the spot where the body was found it became clear that the location was not even the real crime scene. Robert Dorotik had been murdered, dressed and left there in an attempt to throw police off the track. Detectives eventually determined the motive for the murder was keeping Robert from selling Charisma Farms and the horses that lived there and the culprit in the killing was his wife Jane. When the case went to trial Jane pointed the finger at her own daughter and a jury would have to decide who was responsible for the "Betrayal at Charisma Farm".
