Meet Pam Booker Pam Booker is a trained social worker. She's also married to Lance Booker, who is serving two life sentences without parole for first-degree murder and 8 1/3 to 25 years for conspiracy. Pam continuously fights to get him out of prison, and prepares for periodic Family Reunion Program visits, more commonly known as a conjugal visit. Making arrangements for each trip is challenging, since the prison where Lance is incarcerated is a three-hour bus ride away. Pam brings all of the food and supplies to the prison, gets them passed through a security screening, and then spends the next two days living with Lance in a special apartment within prison grounds. For this privilege, Lance has to maintain a good behavior record as he lives on the "honor block," which houses inmates who have a long record of following rules and staying out of trouble with prison officials. |
