Dr. Patrick Treacy

Dr. Patrick Treacy's titles could fill a book. 2003's Professional Journalist of the Year-an award given to him for his column "The Cutting Edge" published weekly in the Irish Medical Times Cosmetic Dermatology-practices in his clinics located in Dublin, Cork, London and in the Middle East.

Amongst the first doctors worldwide to use the permanent facial endoprosthesis BioAlcamid for HIV Lipodystrophy patients, he currently holds positions as Medical Director of Ailesbury Clinics Ltd and Ailesbury Hair Clinics Ltd and is the Chairman of the Irish Association of Cosmetic Doctors practices. Additionally, he is the Irish Regional Representative of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors and is the European Medical Advisor to Network Lipolysis and the UK's largest cosmetic website Consulting Rooms.

Moreover, Dr. Treacy was the first person to introduce many techniques such as Radiofrequency assisted lasers, Fibroblast transplant and Contour Threads to European patients. An advanced aesthetic teacher, he has trained over 300 doctors and nurses from around the world. The renowned doctor is on the Specialist Register in the UK and Ireland and holds higher qualifications in Dermatology and Laser technology and skin resurfacing.

Dr. Treacy makes sure to share his breadth of knowledge and expertise with others. A prominent international guest speaker, he is regularly featured on national television and radio programs. Dr. Treacy is habitually invited to speak about Cosmetic Medicine on Irish breakfast television (TV3), RTE TV and Discovery Health and has been an expert panelist with the BBC World Services on many occasions. Even more impressive, Treacy was invited to speak about stem cells and cosmetic medicine at the World Aesthetic Conference in Moscow this year. Additionally, his lecture series on minor surgery was published in Modern Medicine of Ireland.

Aside from making guest appearances in person, Dr. Treacy informs others through the written word. He is a cosmetic columnist with Ireland's Rejuvenate Cosmetic Surgery Magazine, Health & Living Magazine as well as the UK Aesthetic Medicine and MediSpa Destinations Magazines.

Dr. Treacy is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine and The Royal Society of Arts. He is a member of The Irish College of Cosmetic Doctors, The British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, The British Medical Laser Association, The American Society for Aesthetic Medicine, The American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, The European Society of Laser Dermatology, The European Society for Dermatological Surgery (ESDS), The International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and The International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology.
